Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 2nd October 1989.

Section 2

The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1987 shall be further amended in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations.

Section 3

In paragraph (3)(b) of regulation 19 (Fees in respect of tests) for “£16.50” there shall be substituted “£24.00”.

Section 4

In the third column of Schedule 3 headed “Additional requirements” for the words “and 10” in the entries opposite groups D and E there shall in each case be substituted the words “, 10, 12 and 13”.

Section 5

In Schedule 4 (Additional requirements for driving tests) the following additional requirements shall be added to the list—

(12) Drive the vehicle slowly, while keeping it under control.

(13) Cause the vehicle to face in the opposite direction by driving it forward (“U” turn).
