Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea (United Kingdom Carriers) (Amendment) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 10th November 1989.

Section 2

The Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea (United Kingdom Carriers) Order 1987 shall be amended as follows:–

(a) in article 2, for “700,000 francs” there shall be substituted “46,666 units of account”; and for “1,525,000 francs” there shall be substituted “100,000 units of account”;

(b) article 3 shall be omitted.
