Section 1
These Regulations may be cited as the Offshore Installations (Life-saving Appliances and Fire-fighting Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 14th November 1989.

Section 2
The following table shall be substituted for the table set out in sub-paragraph (a) of the Schedule to the Offshore Installations (Life-saving Appliances) Regulations 1977 and for the table set out in sub-paragraph (a) of the Schedule to the Offshore Installations (Fire-fighting Equipment) Regulations 1978 :–
On any day except a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday–
between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
On a Saturday
On a Sunday or public holiday
Section 3
The Offshore Installations (Life-saving Appliances and Fire-fighting Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 1981 , the Offshore Installations (Life-saving Appliances and Fire-fighting Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 1982 , the Offshore Installations (Life-saving Appliances and Fire-fighting Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 1983 , the Offshore Installations (Life-saving Appliances and Fire-fighting Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 1985 , and the Offshore Installations (Life-saving Appliances and Fire-fighting Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 1987 are hereby revoked.
