Section 1 Title, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Sea Fishing (Enforcement of Community Quota Measures) (Amendment) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 27th November 1989.

(2) In this Order “the principal Order ” means the Sea Fishing (Enforcement of Community Quota Measures) Order 1988 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Order

The principal Order is hereby amended by substituting in article 2 thereof (interpretation) for the definition of the Council Regulation the following definition –

“the Council Regulation” means Council Regulation ( EEC ) No. 4194/88 fixing, for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks, the total allowable catches for 1989 and certain conditions under which they may be fished as amended by Council Regulations (EEC) Nos. 295/89 and 2278/89 .
