Section 1 Citation, commencement and revocation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 1st April 1989.

(2) The following Regulations are hereby revoked–

(a) Regulation 4 of the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations (Amalgamations, etc.) (Amendment) Regulations 1978 ;

(b) Regulation 4 of the Certification Officer (Amendment of Fees) Regulations 1988 .

Section 2 Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

In paragraph (1) of regulation 11 of the Trade Unions and Employers' Associations (Amalgamations, etc.) Regulations 1975 (fee to accompany an application for approval of a proposed instrument of amalgamation or transfer) for the words “£175” there shall be substituted the words “£200”.

Section 3 Amendment of fees payable to the Certification Officer

The fee of £225 is hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 8(2) of the Employment Protection Act 1975 (fee on application by a trade union for a certificate of independence).
