This Order may be cited as the Gaming Machine Licence Duty (Variation of Monetary Limits and Exemptions) Order 1989, and shall come into force on 1st January 1990.

The Gaming Machine Licence Duty (Variation of Monetary Limits and Exemptions) Order 1989
The Gaming Machine Licence Duty (Variation of Monetary Limits and Exemptions) Order 1986 is hereby revoked.
In section 22(2) of the Act (small-prize machines) with effect from 1st January 1990, for “£4” there shall be substituted “£4.80”.
Sub-paragraphs (2), (3) and (4) of paragraph 2 of Schedule 4 to the Act (pleasure fairs) shall have effect from 1st January 1990, as if–
(a) in sub-paragraph (2)(a), for the sum of 10p there were substituted the sum of 20p;
(b) in sub-paragraph (2)(b), for the sum of £2 (in both places) there were substituted the sum of £2.40, and for the sum of £4 (in both places) there were substituted the sum of £4.80;
(c) in sub-paragraph (3), for the sum of £4 (in all three places) there were substituted the sum of £4.80; and
(d) in sub-paragraph (4), for the sum of £2 there were substituted the sum of £2.40.
