These Regulations may be cited as the Community Charges (Notification of Deaths) Regulations 1989 and shall come into force on 1st February 1990.

The Community Charges (Notification of Deaths) Regulations 1989
Within 7 days of the registration of the death of any person aged 16 or over, the registrar of births and deaths for the sub-district in which the death occurred shall supply to the registration officer
(a) the name and surname of the deceased,
(b) the date of his birth,
(c) the date of his death,
(d) his usual address, and
(e) the sub-district where the death was registered.
The registrar of births and deaths shall supply the particulars specified in regulation 2 of these Regulations either in writing or in a form in which they can be processed by equipment operating automatically in response to instructions given for that purpose.
