Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Patents, Designs and Marks Act 1986 (Amendments to the Registered Designs Act 1949 and the Patents Act 1977) (Isle of Man) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st April 1989.

Section 2

(1) Sections 1 and 3(1) of the Patents, Designs and Marks Act 1986 so far as they relate to the Registered Designs Act 1949 and the Patents Act 1977 shall extend to the Isle of Man, subject to the modification specified in paragraph (2) below.

(2) Any reference to the said Act of 1949 or the said Act of 1977, or to a provision thereof, shall be construed as a reference to it as it has effect in the Isle of Man.
