Section 1 Title, extent and commencement

These Regulations, which may be cited as the Pig Carcase (Grading) (Amendment) Regulations 1989, shall apply in Great Britain and shall come into force on 11th May 1989.

Section 2 Amendment of the Pig Carcase (Grading) Regulations 1988

The Pig Carcase (Grading) Regulations 1988 shall be amended:

(a) by substituting for the definition of “the Commission Decision” in regulation 2(1) thereof the following definition:

“the Commission Decision” means Commission Decision No. 88/234/ EEC authorising the methods for grading pig carcases in the United Kingdom , as amended by Commission Decision No. 88/478/EEC

(b) by substituting for paragraph 1(iv) of the Schedule thereto (particulars of the occupier of a slaughterhouse to be notified to the appropriate Minister) the following sub-paragraph:

(iv) the council of a London borough the name and address of the council.
