This Order may be cited as the Police (Common Police Services) (Scotland) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 21st June 1989.

The Police (Common Police Services) (Scotland) Order 1989
The Police (Common Police Services) (Scotland) Order 1987( ) is hereby revoked.
Section 36(4) of the Police (Scotland) Act 1967 (which provides for the recovery by the Secretary of State from police authorities and joint police committees of one half of the expenses incurred by the Secretary of State in establishing and maintaining any central training institution) shall apply to the expenses incurred by the Secretary of State for the purposes of police forces generally, on or in connection with—
(a) the Police (Scotland) Examinations Board;
(b) police representative and negotiating machinery;
(c) the Scottish Criminal Record Office;
(d) attendance at meetings of the International Criminal Police Organisation (provincial representation) and other international police co-operation;
(e) attendance of officers at the Police College for England and Wales;
(f) the National Forensic Science Laboratory for Scotland;
(g) the Standard Entrance Examination for entry to police forces in Scotland;
(h) central recruitment publicity;
(i) the Police National Computer;
(j) the National Drugs Intelligence Unit;
(k) the Scottish Crime Squad;
(l) the National Co-ordinator of Ports Policing;
(m) bomb search training.
