Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (Scotland) Amendment Order 1990, shall come into force on 20th August 1990, and shall apply to Scotland only.

Section 2 Amendment of Order

In the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemptions) (Scotland) Order 1988 , article 2(1) shall be revoked and the following substituted–

(1) In this Order–

“ the Act ” means the Local Government Act 1988; and

references to section 2(2) of the Act shall be read as references to that subsection as extended by article 2(1) of the Local Government Act 1988 (Competition in Sports and Leisure Facilities) Order 1989.
