Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Combined Probation Areas (Bedfordshire) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st August 1990.

Section 2

(1) That part of Schedule 2 to the Combined Probation Areas Order 1986 which relates to the Bedfordshire Probation Committee shall be amended by omitting the entry in respect of the petty sessions area of North Bedfordshire and inserting in alphabetical order in column 1 “Bedford” and corresponding to that in column 3 “4”.

(2) The four justices appointed to be members of the Bedfordshire Probation Committee by the justices for the petty sessional division of North Bedfordshire, before the re-naming of that division as the division of Bedford, shall continue to hold office as members of the Committee, as if they had been appointed by the justices for the re-named division, until 30th November 1992 and shall then cease to hold office but shall be eligible for re-appointment.
