For the purpose of connecting the motorway with other highways, at the places stated in the schedule hereto, the Secretary of State is authorised to provide along the routes described in that schedule special roads for the use of traffic of Classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980.

The M5 Birmingham-Exeter Motorway (Warndon Junction 6) Connecting Roads Scheme 1990
The centre line of each of the special roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.
The special roads shall become trunk roads on the date when this Scheme comes into force.
In this Scheme —
(i) “the motorway”
(ii) “the deposited plan”
(iii) “the special roads”
This Scheme shall come into force on 31st August 1990 and may be cited as the M5 Birmingham-Exeter Motorway (Warndon Junction 6) Connecting Roads Scheme 1990.
