Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the London Government Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 8th March 1990.

(2) In this Order “the 1989 Order ” means the London Government Reorganisation (Pensions etc.) Order 1989 .

Section 2 Financial administration

Schedule 1 to the 1989 Order (London Pensions Fund Authority) is amended as follows:—

(a) paragraph 5(b) shall be omitted;

(b) the following paragraph shall be inserted after paragraph 8—

(9) Section 73 of the 1985 Act shall apply as if the Authority were a new authority.

Section 3 Pensions increase

In Part II of Schedule 2 to the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971 , the paragraph numbered “64C” which was inserted by article 7(6) of the 1989 Order shall be re-numbered “64D”.
