Section 1

The length of the Trunk Road described in the schedule to this Order and shown by broad striped hatching on the deposited plan shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a classified road as from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the County Council of Surrey that the new trunk roads are open for through traffic.

Section 2

In this Order—

(1) the measurements of distance are measured along the route of the Trunk Road;

(2)

(a) “classified road”

(b) “the deposited plan”

(c) “the new trunk roads”

(d) “the Trunk Road”

Section 3

This Order shall come into force on 1st December 1990 and may be cited as the London—Portsmouth Trunk Road (A3 Milford De-Trunking) (No. 2) Order 1990.
