Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Housing (Grants for Fire Escapes in Houses in Multiple Occupation) (Prescribed Percentage) (Scotland) Order 1990 and shall come into force on the fourteenth day after the day on which it is made.

(2) In this Order–

“ the Act ” means the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987.

Section 2 Application

This Order shall apply in relation to any application for a grant for a fire escape under section 249 of the Act duly made on or after the date of coming into force of this Order.

Section 3 Percentage of Grant

In section 249(4) of the Act there is prescribed in place of the percentage there specified a percentage of 20 per cent.
