Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Marriage Fees (Scotland) Regulations 1990 and shall come into force on 1st April 1991.

Section 2 Fees

(1) The fee payable under section 3(1) of the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977 to the district registrar by each person submitting a marriage notice shall be £7.50.

(2) The fee payable under section 19(2) of the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977 to an authorised registrar before solemnisation of a civil marriage shall be £16.

Section 3 Fees

The Marriage Fees (Scotland) Regulations 1989 are hereby revoked.
