Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Fixed Penalty (Increase) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st April 1990.
(2) This Order applies in relation to a fixed penalty offence alleged to be committed on or after 1st April 1990.
(3) This Order shall not extend to Scotland.

Section 2

For the amount of £24 specified in paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section 53 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 there shall be substituted the amount of £32 and for the amount of £12 specified in paragraph (b) of that subsection there shall be substituted the amount of £16.
