Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Load Lines) (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 28th March 1990.

Section 2

The Merchant Shipping (Load Lines) (Exemption) Order 1968 shall be amended as follows—

(i) in article 1(1)(d) for “section 38 of the Pilotage Act 1913 ” there shall be substituted “section 6 of the Pilotage Act 1987”;

(ii) article 1(1)(f) shall be deleted; and

(iii) the definition of “sailing ship” in article 2(1) shall be deleted.
