The Companies Act 1989 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1990

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Companies Act 1989 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1990.

Section 2

The following provisions in Part III of the Companies Act 1989 shall come into force on 25th January 1990 —

(a) section 75(2);

(b) section 75(3), in so far as it provides for the insertion in subsection (1) of section 180 of the Financial Services Act 1986 of a new paragraph (oo) after paragraph (o) of that subsection, and section 75(4) in so far as it provides a definition of “public servant” for the purposes of that new paragraph; and

(c) section 75(7).

Section 3

In Part X of the Companies Act 1989, section 216 will come into force on 25th January 1990.
