The Financial Assistance (Sewerage Improvements) (Scotland) Order 1991

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Financial Assistance (Sewerage Improvements) (Scotland) Order 1991, shall come into force on 1st March 1991 and shall extend to Scotland only.

Section 2

Section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 shall be varied by the addition of the following subparagraph:—

(n) the programmes of regional and islands councils in Scotland, as local authorities exercising functions under the Sewerage (Scotland) Act 1968 , for the carrying out of works to improve the quality of inland, coastal and relevant territorial waters, as defined in section 30A of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 , or otherwise to benefit the environment.
