Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989 (Commencement) Order 1991.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 16th July 1991

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force on 16th July 1991–

(a) sections 1(3), 2, 4(6) and 8 to 11;

(b) sections 3, 5(3) and (6) and 6 so far as they relate to the making of regulations.

Section 3 Provisions coming into force on 14th October 1991

Sections 3, 4 and 6 (so far as not already in force) and 7 of the Act shall come into force on 14th October 1991.

Section 4 Provisions coming into force on 1st April 1992

The remaining provisions of the Act shall come into force on 1st April 1992.
