Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Testing in Primary Schools (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 19th August 1991.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means the Testing in Primary Schools (Scotland) Regulations 1990 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In regulation 3(5)(a)(i) of the principal Regulations (attainment tests), for the words “15th November” there shall be substituted “31st March”.

Section 3 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In regulation 3(6) of the principal Regulations (attainment tests), the words “within the period from 1st March to 30th April” shall be deleted.

Section 4 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In regulation 5(2) of the principal Regulations (provision of information on the result of tests), for sub-paragraph (b) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph:–

(b) a summary of the results of those tests is provided to the school board of that school, where it is possible to do so without identifying the results of any individual pupil.
