Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Adoption Allowance (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 14th October 1991 immediately after the principal Regulations.

(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Adoption Allowance Regulations 1991

Section 2 Amendment of regulation 4(2) of the principal Regulations

Regulation 4(2) of the principal Regulations (exceptions from procedure in determining whether an allowance should be paid) shall be amended as follows—

(a) in sub-paragraph (a)(i) of that regulation for “paragraph (i)” there shall be substituted “paragraph (1)”;

(b) in sub-paragraph (a)(iii) of that regulation for “adopters” there shall be substituted “agency”.
