Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Competition and Specified Periods) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1991, shall come into force on 4th December 1991 and shall apply to Scotland only.

Section 2 Amendment

Regulation 3(2) of the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Competition and Specified Periods) (Scotland) Regulations 1990 shall be amended by substituting for the definition of “EW” the following:–

EW equals the gross cost of the specified work carried out or treated as carried out by or for the authority in the corresponding period in the financial year ending on 31st March 1991, estimated by the authority on the assumption that costs are incurred at a constant rate over the year;
