Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) (No. 5) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 1st January 1992 immediately after the coming into force of regulation 10 of the Motor Vehicles (Tests) (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 1991 .

Section 2

(1) The Motor Vehicles (Tests) Regulations 1981 shall be further amended as follows. (2) In Schedule 2–

(a) in paragraph 3, for “3, 4, 5” there shall be substituted “2, 3, 4”.

(b) in paragraph 4(a), for the words “paragraphs 1 and 2” there shall be substituted the words “paragraphs 1, 2 and 3”;

(c) in the table in paragraph 4(b), after item 20 there shall be inserted the following item–

(d) in the table in paragraph 5(b), item 30 shall be omitted; and

(e) in paragraph 6, for “30” there shall be substituted “20A” and for “paragraphs 1 to 5” there shall be substituted “paragraphs 1 to 4”.
