This Order may be cited as the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Exemption of Special Treatment for Lone Parents) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 14th January 1992.

The Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Exemption of Special Treatment for Lone Parents) Order 1991
In this Order–
“the Council” means the National Council for One Parent Families;
“the Return to Work Programme” means arrangements known by that name made under section 2 of the Employment and Training Act 1973 for the provision by or on behalf of the Council of training and other assistance to persons wishing to obtain employment.
With respect to the Return to Work Programme, section 8 of the Employment Act 1989 shall apply to any special treatment afforded to or in respect of lone parents–
(a) by the fixing of any special condition for participation in the Programme, or
(b) by the making of any payment in respect of the care of a child of a lone parent while that lone parent is participating in the Programme.
