Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the National Health Service Training Authority (Abolition) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 1st April 1991.

(2) In this Order “the Authority” means the National Health Service Training Authority.

Section 2 Revocation of Orders and abolition of the Authority

The National Health Service Training Authority (Establishment and Constitution) Order 1983 and the National Health Service Training Authority (Establishment and Constitution) Amendment Order 1986 are hereby revoked and the Authority is hereby abolished.

Section 3 Enforceability of rights

Any right which was enforceable by or against the Authority shall be enforceable—

(a) by or against South Western Regional Health Authority if it is in respect of a claim made by a former officer of the Authority arising out of his employment.

(b) in any other case, by or against the Secretary of State.

Section 4 Transfer of property

All property of the Authority is hereby transferred to the Secretary of State.
