Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the European Parliamentary (United Kingdom Representatives) Pensions (Amendment) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 12th June 1992.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order, “the principal Order”, means the European Parliamentary (United Kingdom Representatives) Pensions Order 1980( ).

Section 3 Amendment of article 4 of the principal Order (Contributions)

At the end of paragraph (1A)(c) of article 4 of the principal Order, the word “and” shall be deleted, and for paragraph (1A)(d) there shall be substituted the following:

(d) in the case of a period beginning on or after 1st January 1987 and before 1st April 1992, nine per cent; and

(e) in the case of a period beginning on or after 1st April 1992, six per cent.
