Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Education (Chief Inspector of Schools in England) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 6th July 1992.

Section 2

Professor Stewart Ross Sutherland is hereby appointed Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Schools in England for a period of five years from 1st September 1992.
