Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Friendly Societies Act 1992 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1992.

Section 2

The following provisions of the Friendly Societies Act 1992 shall come into force on 8th June 1992—

(a) sections 1 to 4 (establishment of the Friendly Societies Commission);

(b) Schedule 1 (Friendly Societies Commission — supplementary);

(c) sections 116 to 119 (interpretation);

(d) section 121 (orders and regulations);

(e) section 122 (payment of expenses);

(f) section 123 (power to make transitional and consequential provisions);

(g) section 126 (short title and commencement).
