Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 1992, and shall come into force on 17th July 1992.

Section 2 Exempt information — further qualification

Part II (Qualifications) of Schedule 12A (Access to Information: Exempt Information) to the Local Government Act 1972 shall be varied by the addition, after paragraph 6, of the following—

(7) Information falling within any paragraph of Part 1 above is not exempt information by virtue of that paragraph if it relates to proposed development for which the local planning authority can grant itself planning permission pursuant to regulation 3 of the Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1992 ( S.I. 1992 No. 1492 ).
