These Regulations may be cited as the Special Constables (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st September 1992.

The Special Constables (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1992
Regulation 5 of the Special Constables Regulations 1965 (which relates to sick pay) shall be amended as follows:
(a) in paragraph (2), there shall be substituted for the words “26 weeks” the words “28 weeks” and for the words from “whichever” in the second place in which it occurs to the end the words “the rate of such loss of remuneration.”; and
(b) for paragraph (3), there shall be substituted the following provision:
(3) There shall be deducted from the sick pay an amount equal to the amount of any of the following to which the special constable is entitled, that is to say—
(a) any sickness benefit under the Social Security Act 1975 , or
(b) any statutory sick pay under the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982 .
The Special Constables (Amendment) Regulations 1968 are hereby revoked.
