Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Teachers) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st September 1992.

Section 2 Interpretation

In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1989 .

Section 3 Amendment

Subject to regulation 4, the principal Regulations shall be amended by the omission of regulation 14, paragraphs 8 and 9(2) of Schedule 1 and Schedule 6.

Section 4 Transitional provision

In the case of a person who, on 1st September 1992, has commenced but not completed a period of probation under regulation 14 of and Schedule 6 to the principal Regulations, regulation 14 and Schedule 6 shall continue to have effect until all their provisions have been complied with.
