This Order may be cited as the Horticultural Development Council (Amendment) Order 1992 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

The Horticultural Development Council (Amendment) Order 1992
The Horticultural Development Council Order 1986 (hereinafter called “the principal Order”) shall be further amended in accordance with the following provisions of this Order.
In article 4 of the principal Order—
(a) in paragraph (1), for the word “sixteen” there shall be substituted the word “eleven”;
(b) in paragraph (2), for the words “two persons” there shall be substituted the words “one person”;
(c) for paragraph (3) there shall be substituted the following paragraph—
(3) one person as to whom the Ministers are satisfied that he has no such financial or industrial interest as is likely to affect him in the discharge of his functions as a member of the Council (hereinafter referred to as an “independent member”); and
(d) in paragraph (4), for the words “two persons” there shall be substituted the words “one person”.
In paragraph 3 of Schedule 3 to the principal Order for the word “eight” there shall be substituted the word “five”.
