Section 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1992 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1992.

Section 2 Provisions of the Local Government Act 1992 coming into force on 31st October 1992

The following provisions of the Local Government Act 1992 shall come into force on 31st October 1992—

section 24 (Abolition of the Local Government Boundary Commission for England);

Schedule 3 (Amendments consequential on Part II); and

Part II of Schedule 4 (Repeals relating to Part II).
