Section 1 Citation and Commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) (Amendment) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 1st February 1992.

Section 2 Preliminary

The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) Regulations 1982 shall be further amended in accordance with the following provisions of these Regulations.

Section 3 Amendments relating to the classes of vehicles to which the principal Regulations apply

In sub-paragraphs (q) and (r) of regulation 3(2) for the words “the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1525” there shall be substituted the words “the maximum gross weight of which does not exceed 3500”.

Section 4 Amendments relating to Speed Limiter

After item 8 in Schedule 1, there shall be added the following item—

Design, construction and equipment requirements in regulation 36B, paragraph (2) and either—

paragraph (3)(a), or

paragraph (4) excluding the requirement relating to calibrations
