These Regulations may be cited as the Telecommunications (Single Emergency Call Number) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force on 31st December 1992.

The Telecommunications (Single Emergency Call Number) Regulations 1992
The licence granted under section 7 of the Telecommunications Act 1984 to any public telecommunications operator within the meaning of section 9 of that Act shall from the date of coming into force of these Regulations have inserted, at the end of the condition requiring the provision of public emergency call services, an additional paragraph in the following terms:–
The Public Emergency Call Service which the Licensee is required to provide by this condition shall additionally be capable of being accessed by any member of the public by dialling the number 112.
