Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Road Works (Notices) (Scotland) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st January 1993.

(2) In this Order—

“enactment” means any enactment passed or made before the commencement of section 161 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (not being a special enactment to which section 160(1), (2) or (3) of that Act applies).

Section 2 Notices

Any notice given in compliance with any of the provisions of the Road Works (Registers, Notices, Directions and Designations) (Scotland) Regulations 1992 shall be deemed to satisfy any requirement made by or under any enactment or any instrument having effect under or by virtue of any enactment to give notice of any matter covered by said Regulations to the persons to whom that notice is required to be given by or under such enactment or instrument.
