Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Scheme may be cited as the Crofting Counties Agricultural Grants (Scotland) Amendment Scheme 1992 and shall come into force on 1st January 1993.

Section 2 Amendment of the Crofting Counties Agricultural Grants (Scotland) Scheme 1988

The Crofting Counties Agricultural Grants (Scotland) Scheme 1988 (“the principal Scheme”) shall be amended as follows;—

For item 2 of Column 1 of the Schedule there shall be substituted the following:—

(2) Improvement of land (excluding heathland or moorland) by regeneration, re-seeding, laying down to permanent pasture or reconditioning.

Section 3 Saving

This Scheme shall not apply in relation to an application under article 5 of the principal Scheme by a crofter received by the Secretary of State on or before 31st March 1993 where part of the common grazing has been apportioned to that crofter under section 27 of the Crofters (Scotland) Act 1955 on or after 1st January 1990 but before the coming into force of this Scheme.
