Section 1 Title, commencement and application

(1) This Order may be cited as the Prohibition of the Keeping or the Release of Live Fish (Pikeperch) (Scotland) Order 1993.

(2) This Order–

(a) in respect of pikeperch kept after 8th June 1993 shall come into force on that date; and

(b) in respect of pikeperch kept on or before 8th June 1993 shall come into force on 8th September 1993.

(3) This Order applies to the pikeperch species ( Stizostedion lucioperca ) which species is not native to Scotland.

Section 2 Prohibition

On or after the date of the coming into force of this Order in accordance with article 1(2) the keeping or the release in Scotland of live fish of the pikeperch species or live eggs of such fish is prohibited except under licence.
