Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st December 1993 for any purpose set out in regulation 4(1) of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976 .

(3) For all other purposes, this Order shall come into force on 1st April 1994.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order

any reference to Ealing or to Hounslow is a reference to the London borough of that name, and “Fulham” means the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham;

“the map” means one or more of the 13 maps prepared by the Department of the Environment, marked “Maps of the Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow (London Borough Boundaries) Order 1993”, and deposited in accordance with regulation 5 of the Local Government Area Changes Regulations 1976; and any reference to a ward is a reference to a ward of the London borough from or to which an area is transferred .

Section 3 Transfers between Ealing and Fulham

(1) Each area which is marked as shown in column 1 of the following Table on the map indicated in column 2 shall be transferred from Ealing, and from the ward named in column 3 to Fulham, to the ward named in column 4, and to the West London petty sessional area.

(2) Each area which is marked as shown in column 1 of the following Table on the map indicated in column 2 shall be transferred from Fulham, and from the ward named in column 3 to Ealing, to the ward named in column 4, and to the Ealing petty sessional area.

Section 4 Transfers between Ealing and Hounslow

(1) Each area which is marked as shown in column 1 of the following Table on the map indicated in column 2 shall be transferred from Ealing, and from the ward named in column 3 to Hounslow, to the ward named in column 4, and to the Hounslow petty sessional area.

(2) Each area which is marked as shown in column 1 of the following Table on the map indicated in column 2 shall be transferred from Hounslow, and from the ward named in column 3 to Ealing, to the ward named in column 4, and to the Ealing petty sessional area.

Section 5 Transfers between Hounslow and Fulham

(1) The following areas of Fulham—

(a) the parts of the Ravenscourt ward marked J and K on map 8 and B on map 9; and

(b) the parts of the Starch Green ward marked D, F and H on map 8—

shall be transferred to Hounslow, to the Chiswick Homefields ward, and to the Hounslow petty sessional area.

(2) The areas marked E and G on map 8 and A on map 9 shall be transferred from Hounslow, and from the Chiswick Homefields ward to Fulham, and to the West London petty sessional area.The area marked A on map 9 shall additionally be transferred to the Ravenscourt ward, and the areas marked E and G on map 8 to the Starch Green ward.

Section 6 Town and Country Planning

(1) In this article, “provision” means a provision of a development plan (as defined in section 336(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 ).

(2) Any provision applying to an area transferred by this Order shall continue to apply to that area, notwithstanding the transfer, until replaced by a provision which so applies, and which is expressed to supersede the preserved provision.
