The Harbour Authorities (Variation of Constitution) Order 1993

Section 1 Title, commencement and interpretation

–

(1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Authorities (Variation of Constitution) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 7th July 1993.

(2) In this Order “the Minister” means the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

Section 2 Variation of the constitution of the Flamborough North Sea Landing Harbour Commissioners

The power conferred on the Minister by article 7(1)(c) of the Flamborough North Sea Landing Harbour Order 1923( ) to appoint one member of the Flamborough North Sea Landing Harbour Commissioners shall be exercisable by the said Flamborough North Sea Landing Harbour Commissioners.

Section 3 Variation of the constitution of the Hope Harbour Commissioners

The power conferred on the Minister by article 7(1)(b) of the Hope Harbour Order 1925( ) to appoint two members of the Hope Harbour Commissioners shall be exercisable–

(a) in respect of the appointment of one of the members, by the South Hams District Council; and

(b) in respect of the appointment of the other member, by the said Hope Harbour Commissioners.

Section 4 Variation of the constitution of the North Sunderland Harbour Commissioners

The power conferred on the Minister by article 8(1)(b) of the North Sunderland Harbour Order 1931( ) to appoint one member of the North Sunderland Harbour Commissioners shall be exercisable by the local fisheries committee for the Northumberland Sea Fisheries District.

Section 5 Variation of the constitution of the Trustees of Mevagissey Harbour

The power conferred by article 7 of the Mevagissey Harbour Order 1865( ) and vested in the Minister( ) to appoint two members of the Trustees of Mevagissey Harbour shall be exercisable–

(a) in respect of the appointment of one of the members, by Restormel Borough Council; and

(b) in respect of the other member, by the local fisheries committee for the Cornwall Sea Fisheries District.

Section 6 Variation of the constitution of the Sennen Cove Harbour Commissioners

The power conferred by article 12(2) of the Sennen Cove Harbour Order 1907( ) and vested in the Minister( ) to appoint one member of the Sennen Cove Harbour Commissioners shall be exercisable by the said Sennen Cove Harbour Commissioners.

Section 7 Variation of the constitution of the Staithes Harbour Commissioners

The power conferred on the Minister by article 7(1)(c) of the Staithes Harbour Order 1932( ) to appoint one member of the Staithes Harbour Commissioners shall be exercisable by Hinderwell Parish Council.
