Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the North Mersey Community National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1992 and shall come into force on 5th February 1993.

Section 2 Amendment of NHS Trust Establishment Order

For article 3(2) (functions of the trust) of the North Mersey Community National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991 there shall be substituted the following paragraph.

(3) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more health authorities) shall be—

(a) to own and manage hospital accommodation and services provided at Sefton General Hospital, Smithdown Road, Liverpool L15 2HE and associated hospitals;

(b) to manage community health services provided from Sefton General Hospital, Smithdown Road, Liverpool L15 2HE and to own the associated premises.
