Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Student Loans) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st August 1993.

Section 2 Amendment of 1993 Regulations

For regulation 11(6) of the Education (Student Loans) Regulations 1993 there is substituted—

(6) In paragraph (5) “disability-related benefits” means—

(a) the benefits or allowances payable pursuant to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 known as invalidity benefit , severe disablement allowance , disability living allowance and industrial injuries benefit ;

(b) disability premium and severe disability premium payable pursuant to the Income Support (General) Regulations 1987 ; and

(c) disability working allowance payable under sections 123(1)(c) and 129 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992.
