Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Combined Probation Areas (Kent) Order 1993.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st April 1993 save that, for the purpose of making appointments to the probation committee for the Kent Probation Area to take effect on that date, this Order shall come into force forthwith.

Section 2

The entry in Schedule 2 to the Combined Probation Areas Order 1986 which relates to the Kent Probation Area shall be amended by substituting in column 3—

(a) “1” for “2” in each place in which it occurs; and

(b) “2” for “3” in the entry in respect of the petty sessions area of Medway.
