Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (DefinedActivities) (Specified Periods) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 28th February 1993.

(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations ” means the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Specified Periods) (Scotland) Regulations 1988( ).

Section 2 Application

These Regulations apply only to work to be carried out in Scotland.

Section 3 Amendment of the principal Regulations

Insofar as Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations applies to a development corporation established for the purposes of a new town, in column (2) (Minimum period years) of Part II (Specified Periods) of that Schedule there shall be substituted, opposite each of the seven entries listed under column (1) (Activity) of the said Part II of the said Schedule, the number“1”.
