Section 1 Citation and commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Diocesan Chancellorship Regulations 1993 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1993.

Section 2 Extent

These regulations extend to the whole of the provinces of Canterbury and York.

Section 3 Number of Chancellorships to be held by one person

As from the date of the coming into force of these Regulations the maximum number of chancellorships of dioceses which any one person may hold shall be limited to two.

Section 4 Number of Chancellorships to be held by one person

Nothing in these Regulations shall be taken as prohibiting any person who at the date on which these Regulations come into force holds more than the maximum number of chancellorships prescribed by the Regulations from continuing to hold such offices.
