Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Teachers) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st September 1993.

Section 2 Amendment

In paragraph 2 of Schedule 3 to the Education (Teachers) Regulations 1993 —

(a) in sub-paragraph (1), for the words “institution or university” there shall be substituted the words “school, city technology college, institution, or university”;

(b) for sub-paragraph (1)(a), there shall be substituted the following—

(i) is for the degree of Bachelor of Education, a certificate in Education, a post-graduate certificate in Education or a comparable qualification awarded by a university in England or Wales; or

(ii) is a post-graduate course of teacher training at a school or city technology college
