Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Horsham District Council and Worthing Borough Council) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 15th October 1993.

Section 2 Exemption of refuse collection

(1) The collection of refuse by the Horsham District Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is undertaken in their area before 1st August 1996.

(2) The collection of refuse, and cleaning (other than cleaning of buildings), by the Worthing Borough Council shall not be treated as defined activities so long as they are undertaken in their area before 1st August 1995.
